Glad you enjoyed the review/rant, and I'm totally with you--I'm excited for the next installment! The plot is intriguing and I can't wait to see what she's going to do with it! :) Izzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05746260397486124629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-658032146108449838.post-87818219799387633872014-02-23T08:50:27.972-05:002014-02-23T08:50:27.972-05:00Nice review! There were seriously times I was wondering is this really YA because I mean...wow! I always feel funny with sex in YA books. I mean yeah it's the apocalypse, but really? Sex is still that important to teens?

I'm in my twenties and I just felt a bit weirded out. Especially when it seemed Jackson was going to leave Evie because she didn't put out in the first book, then wants to get mad at her when she left...? What's up with that?

I'm sure we could have a nice long conversation/rant about all that, but the comments section might get a little long! Let's just say we agree!

And that's funny about the guys reading the book in class! When I was in high school I didn't have many paranormal options. I took what I could get. And my friends liked to tease me as well and call me "vampire girl" which then I had to protest that I was reading about werewolves, witches, ghosts and possibly demons too (back then) and then that's when I got a slightly dazed look followed by laughing! All in good fun though!

Of course when I did start to read more paranormal adult books that had a bit of a "racy" cover, even though the book itself was hardly as such. Sure there was a hot romance going on, but not for the whole book. Those I would read on my break at the grocery store and either was hiding the cover somehow reading it under the table or leaving the cover face down and then finally, I discovered the book covers! The ones that hide the "racy" covers and was ever so grateful!

Okay, sorry for the long comment! Didn't mean to go on and on but you brought up lots of good points I wanted to comment on and then just comment/talk in general! I did enjoy this one as well even if I was weirded out as well by the age difference between Evie and Death, but by the end, I thought she was getting closer to 18, so it becomes a tad less weird. At least she's 18, but then yeah, still a teen having sex.

Better not get started on that triad again! Haha! Once again, nice review! Can't wait to read the next one in this series!Jessica @ a GREAT readhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07554254368211246669noreply@blogger.com
